NV Dems Release 2020 Delegate Selection Plan

Today, the Nevada State Democratic Party released its proposed 2020 Delegate Selection Plan outlining changes to Nevada’s caucus process. The State Party is dedicated to creating a Delegate Selection Plan tailored to Nevada that represents our Democratic Community. By creating an in-person early voting period and offering a method for absentee voters to participate, the 2020 caucus process will be more accessible and open.

“The Nevada State Democratic Party is creating a uniquely Nevada caucus process--one that reflects how Nevadans vote and the communities we live in,” said Nevada State Democratic Party Chair William McCurdy II. “We’re working to execute a successful caucus that will help us maintain our competitive edge that led to historic Democratic gains in 2016 and 2018. Our new Delegate Selection Plan will ensure 2020 is Nevada’s most expansive and accessible caucus yet.”

The plan is available below and online for public comment. It will be submitted to the Democratic National Committee on May 3, 2019.
